German train operators have set up a task force in an eastern town to train German citizens to fight in Syria.

The Berliner Kurier newspaper reported on Thursday that the task force will be responsible for training about 20 of the country’s train operators.

The operation will start next month and will involve training and education on the skills needed to be an effective fighter, said a spokesman for the Bundesverfassungsgerichtshof, the federal government agency overseeing the Bundeskraftwerkstatt, the train company responsible for the operation.
